Hot X Bun Protein Balls

TIME: 35 minutes (includes 30 minutes setting time)

Makes: 12 balls

Nothing says Easter like a Hot X Bun! And these tasty morsels are made within 5 minutes and can be kept in the fridge or freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Grab a protein ball as an afternoon snack or to fuel you for the gym.

 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Sultanas

  • 1 cup Almond Meal

  • 3/4 - 1 cup Cashew Butter

  • 2 TBSP Maca Powder

  • 1 TBSP Hemp Protein Powder

  • 1/4 cup - 1/3 cup Rice Malt Syrup

  • 2 TBSP Hulled Hemp Seeds

  • 1/4 tsp Mixed Spice

  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp Grounds Cloves

We LOVE this recipe because it’s super simple.

Get all of the ingredients and put them into a food processor or thermomix. Blend until smooth. If you are like us and using a second-hand food processor (reduce waste and use what your community has!) you may need to scrape down the sides once or twice.
Use your fingers and palms to roll the mix into balls.

Set in the fridge for 30 minutes and then munch!!

Tips: If your mix is too dry add a teaspoon of water, 1 at a time. Or you can add some extra cashew butter.
If your mix is too wet add some more almond meal 1 teaspoon at a time.

Switch things up: Use Almond Butter, increase or decrease spice amounts, try different spices.
