Gingerbread Cookies
TIME: 45minutes (includes 15 minutes cooling time)
Makes: 12 cookies
Is it even Christmas without a Gingerbread cookie?
These cookies are a brilliant zero-waste gift for anyone. Simply place them in a recycled jar or container and tie with twine or re-used ribbon.
Ingredients:
550-580 grams Unpackaged Gingerbread Cookie Mix (3 scoops)
1/2 cup golden syrup (approx 125-150 grams)
1 egg
125 grams chopped butter
Creating the Magic:
Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
Knead until smooth.
Place between 2 sheets of baking paper and roll out until about 2.5cm thick.
Place in fridge to cool (about 15 minutes).
Cut into desired shapes and place on baking tray.
Cook at 160-180 C for 10-12 minutes
